Are interior white doors still the go-to for brightening up spaces?
Hey all, redoing my older townhouse in the GTA and debating colors for new interior doors. White seems classic and helps make narrow hallways feel less cramped, but with trends going darker/moodier, is it outdated? Anyone recently installed interior white doors? Do they show dirt easily, or hold up well with kids/pets? Tips for keeping them looking fresh long-term?

Frameless doors really elevate a space—give that high-end, architectural feel where the door just blends into the wall plane. Mine are mostly glass or acrylic for light flow between rooms, and they've been great; no visible trim means less visual clutter and rooms feel connected. Heavy ones like triplex need sturdy hidden hinges, but lighter thermo-plastic versions are easier on install. Tolerances are tight, so level walls and a good installer make a difference—DIY is risky unless you're experienced.
