In most residential garage separations you need fire-rated assemblies, but standard plastic panels aren’t rated. However, for non-fire-wall locations regular ones are fine. Check your local code. For non-rated walls I used these drywall access panels Clean install, good fit. If you do need rated, look for metal labeled ones. These worked perfectly for my utility accesses.
