Under $12 limits options, but some basic designs punch above their price. Focus on thicker handles and decent bristle attachment—avoid anything too lightweight. This dish brush with handle I picked up recently stays in that range and feels more solid than dollar-store versions. The handle doesn’t flex much, bristles stay attached, and it scrubs plates and pots without splaying out fast. Grip is okay when wet. I replace every 3 months for hygiene anyway, and this one easily lasts that long. Good value if you’re avoiding total junk.
